How long does shipping take?
Once you submit your order, it will generally be processed within 48 hours. Once processed, your order should reach you in 2-8 business days for standard post.

We ship with sendle. Sendle offer carbon neutral delivery by offsetting any emissions involved in shipping your products to you.
What do you pack my order in?
We aim to use sustainable packaging, but the specifics may change from time to time. This usually means:
- Re-using postage satchels that have already travelled once or twice before, or
- Using satchels that are compostable (and ideally home-compostable)

If you have a problem with the items you received, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will do our best to help (this may involve a replacement with a similar product or a refund).
If you haven't received your order and the delivery timeframe has passed (8 business days after shipment), please contact us or sendle and include your order # so that we can investigate.
Product & Sustainability
What makes your products sustainable?
We currently sell only secondhand items. By purchasing an item from us, you're not consuming any new resources, and in fact you may be saving clothes from ending up in landfill, giving them a second life on your child!
We also aim to be sustainable in our shipping and delivery, reusing postage satchels or using fully compostable satchels as much as possible. Our delivery partner is sendle, who are 100% carbon-neutral through offsetting shipping emissions.
Where do your source your products?
Currently all of our products are secondhand clothes. These are sourced either from op shops (Vinnies, Salvos, etc.), direct donations to us, or from Facebook Marketplace.
We do try to avoid buying from individuals on Facebook Marketplace, so as not to be inadvertently funding someone else's fast fashion habit by buying their secondhand clothes, so when clothes are sourced this way it's mostly in very cheap or free big bundles, rather than from people looking to make any substantial money from the transaction.
Are the secondhand items clean and in good condition?
We carefully inspect each item that we sell to make sure that it is clean and stain-free. If any item isn't in a fully clean condition when we receive it, we wash it thoroughly before listing it for sale. We still recommend you wash our products before use.
Occasionally, items may be listed for sale that have a defect due to being secondhand. For instance, this may be a small pen mark that can't wash out, or a spot that is showing wear and tear. In these cases, we will list any defects in the product description, and the item's listed 'condition' will also reflect this.
How do I know what clothes will fit my child?
Generally our products have a size listed on their tag, which we include in the product listing. Our sizing is typically in AU sizes. See this page for a conversion chart. Different brands can run bigger or smaller, so we also list the brand of each item where it is known.
Occasionally, we may include a sizing note in the product description, if we are unsure of the size or if it is particularly big/small for its listed size.
My child's size doesn't have much stock/how often do you restock?
We aim to have a varied selection of items available in each size from 0000 to 5 (and will be expanding to larger sizes over time).
If the size or type of clothing you're looking for isn't in stock, check again in a couple of weeks, as we usually restock 1-2 times per month.
If you want to know when new stock is added, follow us on instagram @lilthrifters.shop, and feel free to send us a message if you have a specific request!
Can I donate clothes to your store?
If you're located in Sydney and interested in donating children's clothes that are in good condition to our store, please use the contact form to let us know, and we may be able to arrange this.
